Caps for Benches
We are extremely excited to be partnering with Fox Communities Credit Union on a summer project called Caps for Benches! From now until August 31, 2019, we will be collecting as many plastic caps and lids as we can. The caps will be sent to Green Tree Plastics and will be recycled into benches for our community!
If you want to partner with us on the fun project, please begin collecting caps and lids with your family or your company. It takes 250 pounds of caps for one bench, and we are excited to see how much we can gather! Some examples of acceptable caps/lids are: plastic bottle caps, peanut butter lids, shampoo/conditioner lids, butter lids, sour cream lids, detergent caps, deodorant/toothpaste caps, milk jug caps, and flip top caps (ketchup, mustard, etc.).
Some examples that are not acceptable are: any metal lids/caps, pump lids (soap, lotion), straws, K-Cups, and fast food drink lids. Please make sure that all caps and lids are cleaned and free of food residue.
