BBBSNEW was approached in May of 2021 to be a featured non-profit at the July 12 Booyah game, and the evening did not disappoint! A fun night of baseball, raffles and stadium snacks left BBBSNEW Bigs and Littles with smiles on their faces and memories to last.
Thanks to a generous donation by Capital Credit Union, approximately 25 matches were offered FREE admission to the game and an opportunity to experience a night of baseball. This opportunity was new to many BBBSNEW Littles and was one more way to let them know they are appreciated!
Vic Valdez, Director of Marketing and Communications with BBBSNEW shared, “One of the main benefits for BBBSNEW youth is getting to experience new opportunities… like a baseball game! Extra big “Thank You” to Capital Credit Union and the Booyah organization for creating this exciting opportunity for our Littles.”
In addition to a summer evening of fun at the ball park, this event was a great opportunity to promote BBBSNEW programming and share about the ways community members can be involved. BBBSNEW matches hosted a booth on the main concourse level of the stadium to share more information about mentoring and stories about their greatest adventures.
BBBSNEW was given the opportunity to run a 50/50 raffle during the game and raised a grand total of $1,262 from generous donors. Split it with the winner and the agency walked away with $631 to put towards mentoring.
Special “Thank You” to Capital Credit Union and the Green Bay Booyah! See you next year!
