Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin is a donor and volunteer supported nonprofit organization that has been professionally matching area youth with volunteer mentors since 1972.

With a staff of 13 and 24-member volunteer Board of Directors, we serve more than 600 children annually.

Our visionary and multi-talented staff bring their expertise to the agency in a shared calling to work for positive change to ensure all children achieve success in life. When available, we will post opportunities for you to join us in our work to make a difference in the lives of children.

Current Opportunities

 

Program Specialist

Big Brothers Big Sisters has an opportunity for a motivated professional to enroll, match and sustain youth mentoring relationships in our Community and Site-Based programs. This is a full-time salaried, exempt position with benefits.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recruit, screen and interview mentors and youth
  • Coordinate matches and professionally support each match relationship
  • Community networking to recruit volunteers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in human service related field
  • Ability to work flexible hours (including early evenings) to meet client needs

Experience in assessment and relationship development with youth and adult populations; understanding of child development and family dynamics; demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills as well as sound judgment.
